Is tattoo removal painful?

With today’s modern technology, the process of tattoo removal has become almost completely non-invasive, much more effective and more comfortable. We use several methods to numb the skin before and after the proceedure. Pain during the treatment is relative and will depend on the individual’s pain threshold. Scarred clients or those menstruating usually feel stronger pain, while other clients refer such pain to a flick of a hot rubber band. Usually the procedure is over within minutes, sometimes seconds. You may return to work immediately. There is no down time or recovery for this procedure.

To ensure your comfort levels are maintained, it is recommended you use our high-strength topical anesthetic. We cannot apply any topical anesthetic in clinic. Visit your local chemist for further professional advice.
